Line 6 Pocket Pod Review
First of all, for the people who don't know:
Line 6 is a manufacturer of digital modeling guitars,
amplifiers and related electronic equipment, which is used by great artists like U2, Radiohead, Garbage, Green Day, Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Slipknot and Keane.
The Line 6 Pocket Pod is a guitar multi effects processor
in pocket format, packed with over 300 custom presets
dialed in by some of today's hottest rock stars
(like Maroon 5, Razorlight, Hoobastank and many more)
plus 32 classic and modern amp models (like Fender, Marshall,
Line 6 and Vox), 16 cab models and 16 effects!
You can also multiply versions of effects and the combine
effects, it's your completely portable multi-effects solution.
From Blues to Heavy Metal, you'll sound like a star with one of these!
You can use the Pocket Pod with a power plug (9V DC)
or with batteries (4 x AAA size) and it is about the size
of a tuner (5" long, 3,5" wide, 2" deep and it only weighs 6 oz).
The Pocket Pod is completely portable (it even has a beltclip),
you can transform your sound with all the effects plugged in your amp,
or you can use it as a headphone amplifier:
just plug your headphones in and practice anywhere
(there's no need to take your amp with you!)
without disturbing anybody.
It even has a stereo CD/MP3 jack so you can play along with your favorite songs.
Pocket Pod is also connectable by USB to your PC
where you can create your own custom tone or
download over 3.000 free presets created by
guitarists from around the world.

The quality of the sound is great.
You can navigate by band, style, or song and you can
save your favorite sounds so they're easy and fast to find.
There is an option on the Pocket Pod called
noise gate and this works perfect.
The Pocket Pod has a buit-in tuner, so you
can use it as a tuning device for you guitar
as well.
The price of a pocket pod is +/- $129,99,
which in my opinion is not to expensive
at all for the big tone it produces!
